What to do first
Start with a named water body, then log season, weather, time, rod, and progress together; a location alone is not a reliable fishing answer.
Before you start
- Record the pond or water feature, not just the region name.
- Bring the rod available in your save; source authors note that later progress and stronger rods affected their observations.
- Keep unusual catches as player-reported until you reproduce them.
A practical first-days route
- Pick one water body and fish a short, repeatable session.
- Write down season, weather, time, rod, and any story/environment unlock.
- Use Deer Statue Pond, Wetlands hovercraft areas, the Autonomous Vessel area, Lichen cave, and Lotus Marsh as separate location labels.
- If a target does not appear, change one condition at a time instead of assuming the table is wrong.
